Garment Sewing 101 : 1 day Workshop

Expand your sewing skills to create a one-of-a-kind garment that you will be proud to wear. We will cover pattern and fabric selection, as well as the basic details of garment construction in a relaxed classroom setting.
Topics to be covered will include choosing a pattern (.pdf or printed) in the correct size and in a style that will suit our body and selecting a fabric that will work well with the design. We will also look at adjusting patterns for fit, inserting zippers and finishing hems.
Students need to bring to class:
Sewing machine and all accessories and manual, plus regular sewing kit. You will be making samples for reference and will need approximately ½ meter of fabric plus a 7” zipper.
Students must be comfortable with their machines and have some previous sewing experience.
