Kawandi Hand Quilting

Join Vancouver Modern Quilt Guild Member Arita Rai who will share her knowledge of these quilts and lead this hand quilting workshop.

Kawandis are created improvisationally with small scraps stitched from the outside toward the centre in such a way that you piece and quilt simultaneously. In this workshop you will make a mini quilt incorporating the design elements of a traditional kawandi. Creating these hand stitched quilts can be very relaxing and mediative so pack up your hand sewing tools and favourite scraps and join Arita for a creative and relaxing few hours
