One on One Sewing Lesson

As a former Textiles teacher, I absolutely love teaching individuals how to sew! It is a great lifeskill to have and can come in handy for creatives who like to design & create.
In one-on-one sewing lessons, students will get an introduction to the basics of sewing and will create a tote bag to showcase their skills & learning.
What students will learn:
- Parts of the Sewing Machine
- How to thread & operate a Sewing Machine
- Seam Allowance
- About Fabric (Selvage Edge, Grainline, Crosswise/Lengthwise Grain, etc.)
- About Patterns (how to cut, how to read, notches, markings)
- Basic Sewing Skills
Students are more than welcome to bring in their own sewing machine or use the sewing machines at our shop.
*This class is also open to those who have basic sewing skills &are working on a sewing project and need guidance/help*

Cost: $40/Session (Hourly Rate)
